Description

Have you ever dreamt of owning a cabin in the woods?  Perhaps one that is also on a lake?  Maybe somewhere entirely surrounded by Crown land?  How about something just minutes from a ski hill?  Well . . . why not have it all, and more!!  Welcome to this incredible recreational opportunity in the Cariboo, located just north of Lac La Hache.

Sprawled across 26 deeded lakefront acres and comprised of mature forest this property is a dream getaway for even the most discerning buyer.  Boasting over 2,100 ft of frontage onto Fly Lake, which is a small yet entirely usable trout fishing lake, and featuring a log cabin with metal roof and beautiful views.  The property is off-grid and currently unserviced, but holds endless potential.

The property is entirely surrounded by Crown land, meaning no new neighbours for many years to come.  It is a completely secluded and private parcel with direct access to thousands of acres of prime recreation/hunting territory.  Lac La Hache is well known for its abundant trails, and features the Gold Rush Trail which is a snowmobile, ATV, horseback, hiking, cycling trail that extends for hundreds of kilometres from Clinton to the south to Likely in the north.

If all of these rare features were not enough, the property is also one of the very few deeded pieces near-to Mt. Timothy Ski Hill which is a beautiful Recreational Resort serving the Cariboo Chilcoltin.  It is an affordable family friendly ski hill offering 33 runs plus a terrain park and triple chair lift.  Rarely does a property with all of these characteristics come available, so be sure to act now!

AREA DATA
25 kilometres north of 100 Mile House, Lac La Hache is billed as “The Longest Town in the Cariboo” with Highway 97 skirting the entire length of the lake’s 19 kilometre shoreline.  It offers fishing and ice fishing for kokanee and large lake trout.  It is popular for its beautiful lakeshore and water recreation; swimming, boating and jet skiing.  The lake is surrounded by holiday resorts, hotels and motels, guest ranches and a large provincial campsite.  The nearby Mt. Timothy Ski Area provides downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as a snowmobiling area.

Close to the Cariboo Range, east of Lac La Hache, is 8 km long Timothy Lake.  The lake boasts resorts with accommodation, camping, boating and a licensed dining facility.  The lake is stocked annually to maintain high quality fishing well into the warm season.  The left fork of the road from Lac La Hache takes the visitor past fishable Rail Lake, with its basic forestry campsite and launch facilities, to 13 km long Spout Lake, where there is a lodge with accommodation, dining, boat rentals and good rainbow trout fishing.
